  • 84% The Satisfaction Rate with the Official Portal of UAE Government in July

Mobilk - The mGovernment – Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) announced that 1800 persons had participated in the evaluation of the official portal of the UAE government (Government.ae) during July 2017, by using the option of commenting and responding provided by the portal to its visitors. The result showed that 84% of respondents said they were satisfied with the quality of the portals content, while 16% said they were dissatisfied with the content, and provided some comments to be amended.

As a result of this monthly assessment conducted by the government portal team, the web pages that have received dissatisfaction of visitors are being reviewed, updated and enriched using the visitors feedback submitted through the portal.

Commenting on this issue, H.E. Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori, TRA Director General, said: "we listen to the portal visitors comments as full partners not only as customers. This is the core of e-participation, which involves engaging people in the development of services and policies in order for the government to meet the customers expectations and achieve their happiness. Happiness has been and will remain the ultimate goal of implementing smart government programs and concepts, as announced by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, when he launched the mGovernment initiative."

The TRA has launched the upgraded version of the UAE government official portal in 2016, taking into account global developments and local needs, in order to be the primary reference to all government information and services in the country.

In the same context, Salem Al Housani, Acting Deputy Director General for Information and eGovernment Sector and the Chairman of the Online Service Index Team, said: "The development of the portal is a main element of our work plan to achieve the objectives of the Online Service Index. The portal represents the electronic presence of the country and we are working to make it the first destination for those looking for services and information. We are also interested in applying the concepts of e-Participation not only at TRAs level, but also at the countrys level. E-Participation has a direct impact on the Online Service Index, and it also affects several other important indicators such as the Happiness Index, the Competitiveness Index and the Network Readiness Index".

The mGovernment team will publish the results of the participants opinions on the e-Participation portal (Sharik.ae), including the decisions taken and corrective measures in the event of gaps or amendments resulted of customers feedback.

The team has developed an integrated guide on digital content for government entities websites, and a guide for e-Participation, which are both published on the portal to serve as important resources in this context.
