Mobilk - Ooredoo recently welcomed Abdulaziz Jaafar as their new Director of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) & Business Development, following his promotion from the post, Information Technology (IT) Director. In his new role, Abdulaziz will be responsible for accelerating the growth and management of the company’s Business-to-business (B2B) market in the ICT domain.
Abdulaziz’s background includes seven years of experience initiating and leading multiple information technology projects successfully at Ooredoo, and brings a wealth of multi-disciplinary IT experience and expertise to his new position. During his former key role as IT Director, Abdulaziz was responsible for enhancing and automating multiple processes which resulted in operational efficiency, internally and externally for Ooredoo customers. He also adapted international industry standards to improve the functions and delivery models of the business to enrich user experience. As a member of the Ooredoo family since 2005, Abdulaziz grew within the company and was nurtured by its multiple leadership and training programmes which helped him rise to his current role. Prior to joining Ooredoo, he worked with Central Bank of Oman and abroad in the USA.

In addition to his long track record of corporate excellence, Abdulaziz holds a Bachelor’s in Computer Science with a focus in Commerce and Economics and is certified in Security and Development technologies. He is also a panel member in multiple forums both in and outside Oman.
