Biggest-Ever Boost to Internet and International Calls

Qtel’s ongoing upgrade of its popular Shahry Value packs has seen another massive series of enhancements, with Qtel boosting the amount of data available on every plan, and adding international minutes and free number options for its customers.

 

Each Shahry Value Pack offers a bundle of call minutes, SMS, MMS and data options in return for a monthly fee, supported by great Shahry rates. Throughout May, Qtel is boosting the Packs’ performance across these areas, as well as adding new benefits like free international call minutes. The new allowances and services are being added automatically to existing customers’ accounts.

 

Qtel’s revamp of Shahry services follows a period of in-depth research with customers, aiming to better understand which features of Shahry they liked most, and what improvements they wished to see. Qtel’s investment in the Shahry upgrade aims to provide more choice and better value for every Shahry Value pack customer.

 

The free international call bonus is set to make a massive difference for every customer who needs to talk to some of the most-called destinations in the world. Every time a customer calls overseas for more than five minutes, they will be provided with an additional ten minutes on the call absolutely free. If the call goes for another five minutes beyond that, Qtel will again provide ten more free minutes of call time.

 

The bonus extends to calls to more than 40 countries in Asia, the Middle East, North Africa, Europe and America.

 

Qtel is offering free international minutes following extensive research that showed a majority of Shahry Value Pack users made at least one long overseas call to the same destination every week – often to family, friends or work partners. Introducing special savings in this area helps people get more value from their Shahry pack, and also enables them to connect with loved ones abroad for longer.

 

In addition, Qtel is adding a massive extension on the data allowance provided with every pack, recognising the extent that people use their mobile to surf the Internet and access games, movies and tunes.

 

With the new service enhancement, customers using the Shahry 575 pack will now get more than a hundred times more data, with the allowance boosted from 10 MB to 1 GB every month.

 

Customers using the Shahry 300 pack will also see a massive expansion in data allowance – from 4 MB to 250 MB, while Shahry 200 Packs will see the data allowance rise from 2 MB to100 MB.

 

Shahry 130 customers will see their allowance increase fifty times, from 1 MB to 50 MB every month.

 

As an additional bonus, Qtel has extended its “One Free Number” service on Shahry. One Free Number enables customers to nominate a frequently-called Qtel mobile or landline number they can call as often as they like for free. According to Qtel research, customers have been using One Free Number to stay in touch with friends and family around the clock.

 

From today, customers using the Shahry 575 Value Packs will be able to call and send unlimited text messages to One Free Number absolutely free. Customers on the Shahry 300 service will be able to make unlimited calls to One Free Number, and the service has even been extended to enable Shahry 200 customers to send unlimited SMS to a number of their choice.

 

These new benefits are being provided in parallel with enhancements to the number of local call minutes, SMS and MMS provided with every pack.

 

All the enhancements provided in the Shahry Value pack upgrade are permanent improvements, which customers can continue to enjoy long into the future.
