Zain Bahrain loads up basketball e-tickets

Everybody knows that Bahrain’s basketball fans have gone hi-tech and are purchasing e-tickets for the Zain Bahrain Basketball Championship tournament games. Now the tickets just got more valuable with a free e-raffle attraction.

 

“You just have to send a blank SMS to 888 and you’ll get a serial number on your mobile phone via return sms. You can also send up to number 10 to the same number and get the number of tickets requested. And now you automatically enter a raffle draw as well whenever you purchase an e-ticket,” said Ghazi Radhi Corporate Communications Specialist at Zain Bahrain, “Prizes include handsets and top-up credit vouchers as well as a chance to shoot hoops. We shall call out serial numbers during the game and the person who has that number on his mobile phone can take a single shot at putting the ball through the hoop. If he succeeds, he will win a handset. If not, there will still be a top-up voucher prize!”

Tickets for the current season games which began on October 16 and will run till May 2010 are now available. The e-tickets have proven hugely popular with fans of the game and hailed as a region’s first in sporting circles which takes management of spectator sports to a different level altogether!

 

 

Earlier this year, Zain Bahrain picked the Bahrain Basketball Association for a key sponsorship partnership designed to help the BBA to pump new talent and training into the game on a nation-wide basis. The sponsorship includes title rights to the BBA’s championship league matches and all games. The company is also involved in encouraging individual players with awards that will help to will raise the bar on sporting excellence among the players.

 

The Zain Bahrain Basketball Championship will run till May 2010 with 10 clubs and 12 talented basketball players put their sporting talent on display. More than   4000 members of the audience are expected to cheer for their teams in this very popular sporting fixture.
