Vodafone Qatar says Shukran

Vodafone Qatar has a customer base of over 500,000 customers after only 10 months of commercial operations in Qatar.

As the second entrant into the Qatari market which broke the long standing monopoly in the country, much of Vodafone's success has been attributed to offers that bring great value to its customers. All people in Qatar can now stay in touch with family and friends in Qatar and across the world more than ever.

Commenting on this achievement, Vodafone Qatar's CEO Grahame Maher said, "We would like to thank the entire Vodafone family who have helped us build our business.

Over the past 10 months, Vodafone Qatar introduced international calling at local rates which took the market by storm. Earlier this year everybody on Vodafone Qatar's network received 2010 Vodafone minutes valid for a year. Free mobile internet and more recently free Facebook has seen Vodafone democratise the internet for all the people in Qatar. Vodafone has also made domestic calling and SMS more affordable for everyone with promotional rates for local calls at only 39 Dirhams a minute and SMS at only 10 Dirahms per SMS.
