Batelco to Sponsor Bahrain RIDERS Club’s 2010 Events

As part of its ongoing support for youths and sports in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Batelco has announced its sponsorship of the Bahrain RIDERS Club for 2010 at a press conference held at the National Stadium on Friday, March 19th.

Batelco Public Relations Manager Osama Alsaad, who presented the sponsorship cheque to Bahrain RIDERS Club President Samer Al Orayedh, said that Batelco was delighted to support the 2010 initiatives of such an action packed club.

Mr. Al Orayedh thanked Mr. Alsaad and Batelco for their tremendous support which will make possible the club’s plans for the year.

“The Bahrain RIDERS Club which currently boasts over 350 members continues to grow in popularity and one of the key priorities of the club is to promote Bahrain by acting as ambassadors of the Kingdom wherever they travel around the region,” he said.

During the evening, Bahrain RIDERS Club General Secretary and Public Relations Officer Ali Fairooz reported on the club’s achievements for the year 2009 and outlined their plans for 2010.

“One of the Club’s key 2009 events was an 11 day trip from Bahrain to Lebanon, which was sponsored by Batelco and we are very grateful to them for their ongoing support,” he said.

“The purpose of last year’s journey, the first such undertaking by the Club, was to promote Bahrain’s name in the region. A 19-member team, riding a selection of motor bike brands including Harley Davidson’s, Hondas, Suzuki’s & Kawasaki’s, rode through Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Syria on a round trip to and from Lebanon.”

Mr. Alsaad further said that by sponsoring the Bahrain Riders Club, Batelco is supporting efforts aimed at promoting the Kingdom of Bahrain in sports arenas regionally and internationally.

Besides Mr. Al Orayedh, Mr. Alsaad and Mr. Fairooz, Bahrain RIDERS Club members, and Batelco representatives were also in attendance on the occasion in addition to reporters and photographers from Bahrain’s press.
