Batelco, as part of its ongoing strategy to enhance its communications network and keep it on par with the highest international standards, is carrying out a series of network upgrades throughout 2010.
In line with this commitment, the next upgrades will take place in Riffa, A’ali and Awali on Tuesday 25th May. In order to minimise the disruption to customers the upgrade work will take place in the early hours of the morning between 12.30am and 6am.
Batelco Group General Manager Media & Government Relations Ahmed Al Janahi said that Batelco is replacing its network equipment with the latest technology to meet the growing demand for enhanced and more sophisticated services for both Residential and Business clients.
The upgrade may cause some minor interruptions to fixed telephone lines and Datacoms Lease Line services during the process. Additionally, Star Dial services (Abbreviated Dialing) may be affected; customers are requested to make sure these services are functioning properly following the upgrade and report any problem to Batelco.
In the event of any problem occurring on customers’ Batelco services after the upgrade, they may phone 121 for telephone line services, or Batelco Service Management Centre on 80001180 for Datacoms Lease Line services.
Batelco apologises for any inconvenience the upgrade work may cause and appreciates the understanding and cooperation of its customers.
