Zain Saudi Arabia has revealed it will launch broadband internet services on mobile telephones for all its subscribers through the advanced (I-HSPA) technology. This is a first in the Middle East and North Africa region (MENA).
Zain Saudi Arabia has of late executed the most up-to-date and unique designs of the future network built around the internet protocol in the Kingdom. Despite the Company’s short presence in the Saudi market, it was able to achieve herculean progress in this field after successfully testing the downloading of data through high speed internet by using the (I-HSPA) program.
The (I-HSPA) technology is characterized by its extreme and unprecedented high speed in transferring data through the internet, which reduces the browsing response time by 50%-- more than is the case with 3rd generation technology.
Zain Saudi Arabia has recently upgraded the performance of its internet program (I-HSPA) across all its private networks in order to achieve the required service quality and performance precision in offering internet services.
On this occasion, Engineer Ismail Fikri, operations CEO at Zain Saudi Arabia, said: “We overcame the most important foundation stage in our endeavor to provide the best levels and highest speeds of internet services through attracting the best capabilities and experiences to Zain Saudi Arabia. This will provide the Company’s subscribers with the best choice within the Saudi market in the data transfer services through mobile telephone.”
Fikri also added that this continued determination to pioneer and create all that is new in high-speed internet services lies within the framework of Zain Saudi Arabia’s efforts to be the first in the Kingdom to unveil the real possibilities of the internet realm through mobile telephones. The Company’s subscribers will have at their fingertips the latest in world technologies in this field, symbolizing Zain Saudi Arabia’s endless attention to satisfying subscribers’ desires and reaching the level of their aspirations.
The Operations CEO at Zain Saudi Arabia indicated that the Company resorted to live testing of its high-speed internet services and downloading data using the updated (I-HSPA) program, rather than laboratory testing. This way it can be certain of the network’s performance and its handling of high-density capacities in transferring data and information, and its conformity with the expected high consumption and provision of the service at the highest level of quality.
He added that the recent testing has led Zain Saudi Arabia to fully trust the unique (I-HSPA) program which has proven its capability of absorbing large volumes of data transfer at the highest available speeds.
