Mobily will launch a nation-wide campaign starting Saturday 12th of October 2008, to encourage its prepaid subscribers to update the personal data. Dubbed “Hawyyati,” (my identity). The campaign, which will continue through to the end of this year, will call upon Mobily prepaid customers to go to Mobily’s branches and fill out data update forms.
Once they do, they will be eligible for a draw to win 56 premium cars, which Mobily will award in partnership with it’s authorized dealers. The “Hawyyati” campaign is a continuation of earlier campaigns in which Mobily called upon its customers to keep their personal data up to date.
The campaign comes in response to a directive of the Saudi Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) which had issued a statement on 30 August 2008, instructing all GSM operators in the Kingdom to ask their clients to update their personal data, by sending them SMS messages calling upon them to update their data.
Mobily said in a statement that in addition to dispatching SMS messages, it would encourage this campaign in collaboration with its authorized dealers. As an incentive, subscribers who take the initiative to update their data will enter into a draw for 56 Lexus, Toyota Camry and Land Cruiser cars.
Everyday, there will be a ca draw in one of Mobily’s main branches in Riyadh (Tahlia Street Branch), Jeddah (Hira’a Mall Branch), and Dammam (Mazra’a Branch. All of Mobily’s authorized dealers in the Kingdom – Safari, Kallem, Musbah, Haddad, Qanawat (Hits), Axiom and Saudi Call – will take part in the campaign.
After they update their personal data at the branches, subscribers are required to call specific numbers in order to confirm their data and enter the draw. These numbers are 1412 for Arabic, 1413 for English, 1414 for Urdu, 1415 fir Hindi, 1416 for Tagalog and 1417 for Bengali.
