Mobily on Saturday launched the Kingdom’s most competitive way to connect to the internet with its new, re-priced Connect packages. The most basic package gets customers a modem, a data SIM and a month’s free subscription for as little as SR399.
What’s special about these new packages is that clients now experience much faster upload, in addition to the characteristically fast download through 3.75G, which Mobily was the first to launch in the region. That, along with the modem’s compact size and plug-and-play USB ability and functionality as a memory stick with the addition of a Micro SD card, makes this the most convenient way to get online. As always, Mobily aims to keep its rates the most competitive for all segments of society.
However, Mobily customers do not have to purchase the modem to get online with the data SIM. For a mere SR100 for one gigabyte of downloaded data, and up to only SR350 for unlimited data flow, they can enjoy high-speed Internet connectivity using their mobile phones or any other device, provided that the device supports GPRS, EDGE, 3.G, 3.5G and 3.75G. Mobily today boasts the best technology in the Kingdom. As of Saturday, Mobily was the first to upgrade its network to 3.75G with the addition of HSUPA technology, which works simultaneously with HSDPA for faster uploads. Mobily has set aside SR1 billion for the project, which will soon encompass the entire Kingdom.
