Saudi Telecom launched on Sunday 9th November, 2008, a new offer on the Afaq DSL Shammel service, giving customers a two months free subscription and a free modem while installing the service (256 Kbps speed and more). Furthermore, subscribers would benefit from a free modem when changing from the Afaq DSL to Afaq DSL Shamel service.
This new promotion also allows customers of Afaq DSL Shamel to upgrade their speeds at the same subscription fee of their old speed for two months, during the offer period which runs until December 31, 2008.
Engineer Saad Bin Dhafer Al-Qahtani, Vice-President STC Residential Service Sector, said: this offer is important as it coincides with the start of the new academic year. Once again STC shows s its great role in supporting the education in Saudi, as this promotion offers students and their families the opportunity to surf the internet easily and at the lowest costs”.
Al-Qahtani added that the offer is part of a series of promotions by Saudi Telecom on Afaq DSL Shamel to provide high quality solutions for customers of the Internet, in order to always meet the ambitions and the needs of all subscribers.
It is worth mentioning that Afaq DSL Shamel has witnessed a huge success whereby subscribers to the service have attained 930.000 and the company plans to reach a million subscribers before the end of the year 2008.
