In line with its continuous efforts to provide the best facilities and improve employees' wellness and health lifestyle, Batelco has opened a state-of-the-art Fitness Centre at its Hamala Headquarters.

The new Centre, which is equipped with modern, world-leading-brand exercise equipment, top quality sound systems and Plasma TV’s, is for the use of Batelco’s employees and their direct family members.

Boosting the comprehensive collection of international brand equipment are a sauna and steam room plus spacious locker rooms and showers. Two fully qualified fitness professionals are on hand to develop fitness programmes for Batelco's staff who have signed up to use the new facility. A series of exercise classes, which will include spinning classes, will be added in the near future to cater to needs and preferences of all staff.

"Batelco is delighted to open a Fitness Centre for the use of all staff and their family members," said Batelco Group General Manager Human Resources & Development Shaikh Ahmed Al Khalifa.

"The Gym, with its added facilities of Steam and Sauna rooms plus the availability of fitness professionals, is a wonderful added benefit for our staff and enhances the list of benefits that are currently offered to Batelco employees."

As part of our health programme, Batelco conducts regular health awareness sessions, such as Health and Nutrition, Dieting & Weight Watching. The knowledge gained during these sessions can be put into practice in the gym to help employees lead a healthier lifestyle.

"To encourage more use of the gym we will be organising training sessions for Batelco's SLT (Senior Leadership Team) to lead by example," Shaikh Ahmed said.
