Mobilk - Zain Group, has entered into an exciting strategic partnership with OSN, the Pay-TV network in the Middle East and North Africa.
Zain customers will now be able to access OSN TV programming content as well as OSN Play, with the mobile operators cooperation with OSN leveraging the growth in convergence between traditional telecommunications services and digital entertainment.
In the initial phase, Zain customers in Jordan, Kuwait, and Bahrain will be able to purchase OSN subscriptions and services directly from Zain retail stores alongside the mobile operators selection of communications services, as well as benefit from OSN Play as a bundled offer with Zains high-speed mobile broadband packages.
With OSN Play, customers can view the OSN shows and programs from their laptops and PCs. OSN Play is an Over-The-Top, TV catch-up, and Video-On-Demand service that will be accessible to Zain customers even if they do not possess an OSN subscription.
Zain plans to roll out these services to other markets in cooperation with OSN in due course, and the partnership will allow a large base of users in the Middle East to take advantage of joint marketing offers, enabling them to enjoy OSNs latest services as well as access to exclusive content from as many as 100 channels in both Arabic and English.
