Mobilk - On the world’s biggest sales day in history, Huawei honor the No 1 smartphone e-brand, has grabbed global attention to become the only brand ever to reach more than one billion RMB sales in value ($180 million). The brands sales contributed 30% of the overall revenue from Single’s Day across all e-commerce platforms within the smartphone category.
After a fierce 24 hour battle, by the close of trade, Huawei honor sold almost one million units and honor 7, its newest device which launched in the Middle East last month, beat off tough competition to become the No 1 smartphone with in its price category. The honor 5X, not yet available in the Middle East, was the best-selling device through volume within the smartphone category.
Mr. Jiao Jian, President of Huawei Consumer BG MEA said: “As a brand only in its second year, to have become a fast growing market leader and to have reached a milestone such as this is a real testament to our quality products and unique business model. We are particularly proud of the honor 7, which has experienced phenomenal success echoed around the world, including the Middle East where sales show it is performing as the No 1 smartphone in its price category online.”
Since its launch in China, the honor 7 saw 10 million pre-registrations for the device, and sold out in just 2 minutes. Huawei honor announced that it had sold 2.8 million units globally, with 400,000 of those sold in just two months within its overseas markets.
Huawei honor is also taking the Middle East by storm. For the first time this year, the e-commerce brand brought the Single’s Day madness to the Middle East as ‘Honor Gala’.
