Kondor new business director Simon Hassell is to exit the distributor to
head up non-OEM Bluetooth company Bluechipworld (BCW).
Hassell (pictured) will remain a board advisor to Kondor, providing
guidance on existing and new business. He joins Midlandsbased BCW, one of
Kondor’s biggest accounts, on July 1 as managing director.
He takes national account manager Jason Bisseker, who managed Kondor’s
Tesco account, with him. Bisseker and Hassell both previously worked at
Dextra. Bisseker joins BCW as sales director.
Hassell said: "I am excited with Bluechipworld and the chance to continue
working closely with Kondor, building on the relationship that already
exists between the two companies. The opportunities we have developed
have provided a substantial platform to deliver the service our customers
and the industry needs."
Kondor sales director Ben Bushell will manage Kondor’s non-traditional
channel, which Hassell headed, as well as the traditional channel and
trade sales. Kondor has also appointed three national account executives
for its retail, networks and grocery channels, and will recruit new
members to its financial department, logistics team and account
management resource.
Managing director Rob Haycock said: "It is vital to the business we
recruit and expand to meet the needs of customers.” Bushell said: “The
number of experienced non-traditional channel personnel has increased
significantly over the past two years.
"Simon has achieved some great results and I look forward to our
continued relationship, as well as his input in to Kondor’s growth in
handset, SIM-packs and mobile broadband dongles."
