Zain, part of the Zain Group, the leading mobile operator in the Middle East and Africa has renewed its partnership with al-Ahliyya Amman University (AAU) with a package that includes special offers for the University’s official phone lines.
The agreement, signed by Zain CEO Dr. Abdel-Malek Al-Jaber and AAU president Dr. Maher Saleem, is part of Zain’s efforts to support Jordan’s educational sector and institutions through a number of initiatives to reach all universities in the Kingdom.
Dr. Maher Saleem hailed Zain’s role in support of youth and student programs and projects, and stressed the need for more cooperation between the private and educational sectors in a manner that maintains the development of education in Jordan.
Dr. Saleem said al-Ahliyya Amman University was looking forward to more cooperation with Zain particularly in education through cell phones, adding that AAU was a pioneer in electronic education both on the local and regional levels.
In his remarks at the signing ceremony, Dr. Abdel-Malek Al-Jaber reiterated Zain’s commitment to active support of the Kingdom’s educational sector by taking part in various direct initiatives or by providing services and special offers.
Dr. Al-Jaber said Zain pays special attention to universities in recognition of the role they play in creating a new generation of well educated and competent professionals.
